AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi’s 29-year ownership of AC Milan could soon come to an end, as reports have emerged that he has invited the club’s prospective buyer Bee Taechaubol to brunch. The Thai broker has reportedly offered €500 million for the Serie A club, and a final decision over the proposed sale is expected later on today.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Berlusconi has finally made the phonecall that the Thai broker has been waiting for since departing Bersluconi’s residence in Arcore on Wednesday. He has invited back to Arcore on Saturday, ahead of his scheduled flight back to Bangkok.

Berlusconi, a former Italian Prime Minister has spent the last 36 hours mulling the offer, and Taechaubol’s closest aides and allies have been seen passing through his residence’s gates.

AC Milan’s general manager Adriano Galliani was the last to leave on Friday, and Berlusconi’s daughter Barbara released a statement denying rumours that she and Galliani had disagreed over the proposed sale.

“Barbara has the sole interest in the club’s well-being as well as that of its fans,” thee statement issued by her management read. “Barbara Berlusconi remains, therefore, equidistant from the scenarios of an eventual sale (partial or total) or the maintaining ot the club by Fininvest, also because the only person who will decide the future of AC Milan, as has always been the case in the past 29 years, is the president Silvio Berlusconi.”
