Inter Club Malta have announced that ex-international player of Inter, Nicola Berti, will be visiting our islands from the 18 - 22 of June, 2015.
He will be the special guest of Inter Club Malta for activities being held at the club and in other venues, as a big “thank you” to the outgoing President John Zammit and as well welcoming the new President Dr. Chris Bonett.
Nicola Berti is an Inter legend that had 229 caps with the “Nerazzurri” between 1988 and 1998 where he scored a total of 29 goals. Nicola won two UEFA CUPS with Inter in seasons 1990/1991 and 1993/1994, where he scored in the first leg final against Roma in 1991 and also scored in the first leg final versus Austria Salzburg, in 1994. Berti also won the so called “League of Records” with Inter in season 1988/89 with Trapattoni as a coach.
Berti is also an ex-international player where he capped 39 times with Italy and scored 3 goals. He made part of the Italian contingent that reached the semi-finals of the 1990 World and also was again chosen by Arrigo Sacchi for the 1994 World Cup in the USA where Italy had reached the Final.
