VIDEO: Beckham helps L.A. Galaxy reach Conference final

David Beckham's delivery from the set piece provided goals for Edson Buddle and Omar Gonzales to send Los Angeles Galaxy through to the Major League Soccer Western Conference final with a 2-1 win over Seattle Sounders on Sunday.

The victory gave Galaxy a 3-1 aggregate victory over Sounders following their 1-0 snatch-and-grab raid on Seattle in the semi-final first leg, meaning they will host FC Dallas in the Western Conference final.

Steve Zakuani scored late for Seattle to break a goal-less streak in play-off matches of 386 minutes over two years, but Buddle added to his first leg goal from a Beckham corner and defender Gonzales found the net with a diving header from a Beckham free kick eight minutes later during Galaxy's first-half burst.

Galaxy keeper Donovan Ricketts kept Sounders from scoring in the 32nd minute by deflecting Osvaldo Alonzo's 29-yard drive with both palms past Seattle's Zakuani and Blaise Nkufo.

Then in the 67th minute, a sliding Ricketts used his chest to block Zakuani's point-blank shot at the edge of the six-yard box.
