Inter grind out win as Valencia put six past Bursaspor

. Cambiasso scored the only goal of the match on the 54^th  minute to secure the win for Inter. Inter are already looking stronger with some of the first team players like Cambiasso coming back from injury.

This victory gives a boost in confidence to the Inter players and especially coach Benitez, who basically had to win this match to keep his job.

FK Rubin Kazan defeated FC Copenhagen 1-0. This result gives Rubin Kazan hope to still qualify for the next round. The goal came in the first-half injury time thanks to a penalty shot by captain Cristian Noboa. The penalty was awarded after Jesper  Gronkjaer handled the ball in the area.

Tottenham  make it to the next round as they defeated Werder Bremen 3-0. Tottenham remain in first place of Group A as they are equal on points with Inter, but with a better goal difference.

Goals thanks to Younes Kaboul (6’), Luka Modric (45’+1’) and Peter Crouch (79’) secured the win over Weder Bremen. Tottenham could of made it 4-0 but Gareth Bale failed to beat the goalkeeper in his penalty shot on the 53^rd  minute.

Hapoel Tel Aviv defeated Benifica 3-0. Goals from Eran Zehavi (24’, 90’+2’) and Douglas Nunes (73’) sealed the affair. This was a shock defeat for the Portuguese champions as they failed to progress to the next round. Schalke and Lyon advance thanks to Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Lyon were defeated by Schalke 3-0. Jefferson scored early on the 12^th  minute to give Schalke the early lead. Klass-Jan Huntelaar then scored two more goals on the 20^th  and 89^th  minute.

Manchester United defeated Rangers 1-0 thanks to a Wayne Rooney penalty shot  on the 87^th  minute. Manchester United also book their place in the next round. Rangers have to be content of playing in the Europa League now.

Valencia hammered Bursaspor 6-1. A penalty from Juan Mata on the 17^thminute started the goal fest. Other goals from Roberto Soldado (20’, 55’), Aritz Aduriz (29’), Joaquin (37’) and Alejandro Damian Dominguez (77’) sealed the affair. Bursaspor managed to get one past the Valencia keeper on the 68^th  minute thanks to Pablo Batalla.

Barcelona had no problems playing away as they defeated them Panathinaikos 3-0. Pedro scored twice on the 27^thand 69^th  minute while Lionel Messi found the back of the net on the 61^st  minute. Barcelona also secured their place in the next round.
