Gaetan Spiteri the hero for Hamrun

In a match which produced the best chances for Vittoriosa it was a hard defeat to swallow. The woodwork denied Vittoriosa two goals and some fantastic goalkeeping denied them as well.

Hamrun took the lead on the 35^th minute when Gaetan Spiteri’s shot beat Vittoriosa goalkeeper Simon Agius.

Vittoriosa kept pressing for the equaliser, and six minutes into the second half Kevin Mifsud shot hit the crossbar.

Vittoriosa again were unlucky again when Jonathan Xerri’s header hit the woodwork as well 70 minutes into the match.

Hamrun killed off the match when on the 87^th minute Lee James passed to Spiteri who then found no problem beating goalkeeper Agius.
