Valletta edge out Vittoriosa

Valletta took the lead on the 18^th  minute mark after Denni Rocha Dos Santos shot low past goalkeeper Simon Agius, after receiving a cross from Roderick Briffa.

It was not long before Vittoriosa equalised. On the 21^st  minute, off a corner from Carl Sammut, Edison Luis dos Santos headed the ball in to make the score 1-1.

Valletta pressed for the lead and on the 27^th  minute Denni Rocha Dos Santos served Terence Scerri who made no mistake to make it 2-1.

The match took a turn for the worse for Vittoriosa as Kevin Mifsud was sent off for dissent by referee Paul Caruana.

Denni Rocha Dos Santos made it 3-1 seven minutes from the end of the second half. A pass from Kevin Sammut was enough for Denni to conclude.

In stoppage time Vittoriosa made it 3-2 when Clayton Micallef by beating Andrew Hogg with a powerful shot.
