Floriana put six past Vittoriosa Stars

This win moves Floriana up to second place in the BOV Premier League table 12 points behind Valletta.

Floriana took the lead on the 15^th  minute after Daniel Nwoke tapped the ball in after receiving the ball off a freekick by Pablo Doffo.

It did not take long till Floriana doubled the score. Two minutes later when Daniel Nwoke scored his second after his powerful shot beat goalkeeper Simon Agius from inside the area.

Floriana did not stop there as in added time of the first half they made it 3-0. Off a freekick from Pablo Doffo, Ivan Woods made no mistake by heading the ball in.

Three minutes after the second half started, Floriana practically put the game out of reach when they made it 4-0. Dragomir Draganov’s powerful shot from outside the area beat Vittoriosa’s goalkeeper Simon Agius.

Vittoriosa could not get things right as Floriana were rewarded a penalty on the 52^nd  minute after a foul on Ivan Woods inside the area. Woods converted the penalty to make it 5-0 in Floriana’s favour.

Vittoriosa scored a consolation goal on the 74^th  minute when Leighton Grech’s low shot beat Floriana goalkeeper Lotfi Saidi.

The goal by Vittoriosa did not stop Floriana from scoring as they restored their five goal advantage after Manolito Micallef lobbed the ball over Vittoriosa’s substitute goalkeeper Jean Matthias Vella.
