Manchester United and Tottenham share the spoils

Manchester United held on after being reduced to 10-men after they played to a goalless draw against Tottenham Hotspurs.

United’s unbeaten record remains intact and they are back at the top of the Barclays Premier League table on goal difference.

Goalkeepers on both sides of the pitch made the difference for their teams as they produced some fantastic saves.

Tottenham remain in fifth place, one point behind Chelsea.

Ryan Giggs made his 600th  appearance for United and is now only six behind the record of Sir Bobby Charlton.

In other matches:

Liverpool and Everton played to a 2-2 draw. It was not the result Liverpool’s new coach Kenny Dalglish wanted, but it was some progress for his troubled side.

Raul Meireles put Liverpool ahead on the 29th  minute. Sylvain Distin scored the scored the equaliser on the 46th  minute. Jermaine Beckford put Everton ahead on the 52nd  minute. Liverpool’s Dirk Kuyt scored from the penalty spot to make the final score 2-2.

Birmingham and Aston Villa played to a 1-1 draw and finally Sunderland and Newcastle also shared the points with their match ending 1-1.
