The Paolites went ahead on the 13th minute. Clayton Failla sent a cross that was met by Dunstan Vella whose header took a deflection off a defender and ended up inside the net.

Hibs threated again five minutes later. Marko Sahanek sent a shot that went high.

Senglea hit back on the 30th minute. Matias Garzia went inside the penalty area and hit a shot that was blocked by Rodolfo Soares.

Timmy Aquilina had to be alert on the 70th minute to keep Senglea in the game. Jurgen Degabriele fired a shot that produced an excellent save from Senglea’s shot stopper.

Mark Miller’s side kept insisting and had another promising chance on the 83rd minute. Johann Bezzina went past two defenders and hit a shot that sailed centimetres off target.
