Milan sign Mark van Bommel from Bayern Munich

Bayern have confirmed the transfer on their official website. Milan has stated that the Dutch international has signed a six-month deal.

"I'm leaving Bayern with pain in my heart, but with my head held high. I've enjoyed four-and-a-half very successful years here and I'd like to thank the club and the fans. I will never forget Bayern Munich," was Van Bommel quoted as saying on the Bayern website.

Milan have a injury crisis in the midfield and Van Bommel will be a breath of fresh air for the Italian giants.

Van Bommel has had over 100 league appearances for Bayern Munich after signing from Barcelona in 2006.
