Michael Mifsud shines on debut

Michael could not have started any better with Qormi as he scored a hat-trick in their 4-1 victory over Birkirkara.

Michael Mifsud did not waste any time to put Qormi ahead on the 13th  minute. Mifsud received a perfect pass from Abubakar Bello-Osagie to conclude by tapping the ball in.

Mifsud doubled the score just four minutes later. Michael Mifsud dribbled past the goalkeeper to place the ball at the back of the net after receiving a pass from Josue Souza Santos.

On the 23rd  minute, Birkirkara replied with a goal. Off a rebound from a shot by Emiliano Lattes, Rodolfo Kumbrevicius concluded to beat goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia.

On the 70th  minute, Michael Mifsud scored his third goal of the game. Joseph Farrugia served Mifsud who then beat goalkeeper Michael Fraser with a powerful shot.

The match was put out of reach for Birkirkara after Qormi were awarded a penalty seven minutes from time. Angus Buhagiar handled the ball in the area to have the referee point to the penalty spot.

Josue Souza converted the penalty to make it 4-1.
