Advantage Tottenham

Tottenham take home a one-goal advantage after they defeated Italian giants Milan 1-0 yesterday evening at the San Siro.

Tottenham are playing in the knockout stages of the Champions League for the first time in their history.
Redknapp became the first English manager to reach the last-16 of the Champions League since Sir Bobby Robson’s Newcastle adventure back in the 2002-03 season.
The match was not without controversy as Milan’s Matthieu Flamini and Gennaro Gattuso should have been sent off.
Peter Crouch scored the winning goal ten-minutes from time. Aaron Lennon served Crouch who made no mistake finding the back of the net.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic rightly had his equaliser disallowed with the final kick of the game, pushing Michael Dawson before sending an overhead kick into the bottom corner.
Milan have a huge task to topple Tottenham on the return match as yesterday’s match was dominated by the English side.
In the other match of the night, Valencia and Schalke played to a 1-1 draw.
Roberto Soldado scored for Valencia, but former Real Madrid captain Raul scored the equaliser to bring his tally to 70 goals in all major European competitons, representing a record in the modern game.
