Birkirkara move to second after victory over Tarxien

This is the third match without a win for Tarxien.

Birkirkara took the lead on the 10^th minute. Michael Galea’s powerful shot from outside the area beat Tarxien’s goalkeeper David Cassar.

Tarxien made it 1-1 thanks to a penalty on the 34^th  minute. Patrick Borg fouled Cristiano inside the area with the referee immediately pointing to the penalty spot.

Sergio Pacheco De Oliveira made no mistake from the penalty spot to make it 1-1.

Birkirkara did not wait long to regain the lead in the second half. Just two minutes after the start, Paul Fenech served Emiliano Lattes who then advanced into the area to conclude by shooting past David Cassar.

Birkirkara scored the final goal of the match on the 77^th minute. Paul Fenech’s powerful shot beat Tarxien’s goalkeeper David Cassar after it was deflected by Lee Galea.
