Qormi put four past Vittoriosa
Qormi are back to winning ways after their defeat to Sliema Wanderers earlier this week. Qormi defeated Vittoriosa Stars 4-1 yesterday afternoon.
Qormi took the lead early in the match. On the 7thminute, Michael Mifsud was dangerous as ever in front of goal as he headed the ball in past goalkeeper Simon Agius, off a corner from Joseph Farrugia.
As both sides had numerous opportunities to score, it was Qormi who doubled the score on the 32ndminute. Kang Hojung setup Abubakar Bello-Osagie who beat goalkeeper Simon Agius with his diagonal shot.
One minute after the start of the second half, Michael Mifsud scored Qormi’s third goal after he dribbled past Vittoriosa’s defender to beat the goalkeeper with his shot.
On the 55thminute, Campagnoli headed the ball in past Qormi’s goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia to reduce the gap.
Qormi killed of the match on the 89thminute when they were awarded a penalty. Ryan Grech brought down Joseph Farrugia in the area. Josue Souza Santos converted the penalty to make it 4-1.
