Jake Grech’s late goal rescued a point for Hibernians as they were held in a 1-1 draw by Hamrun Spartans.

The Spartans forged ahead on the 35th minute. Triston Caruna’s delivery from a free-kick went into the path of Kevin Tulimieri who slotted the ball home.

Hibs equalised three minutes into the additional time. Fonseca served Grech and the latter finished inside the net from close range.

Following this result, Valletta can now climb at the top of the table together with Hibernians if they beat Pieta` tomorrow.
