Valletta put three past rivals Floriana

Valletta showed why they are top of the standings as their dominance showed during the match.

 With this defeat, Floriana sit in third place, one point behind second place holders Birkirkara.

Valletta did not waste any time to score the opening goal. Six minutes into the first half, Andrade Antunes Anderson beat Floriana goalkeeper with his shot to put Valletta in front.

The score remained 1-0 till the end of the first half.

Two minutes into the second half, Valletta doubled the score. Gilbert Agius setup  Denni Rocha Dos Santos who then released a rising shot to beat the Floriana goalkeeper.

Valletta were reduced to ten men on the 66^th  minute after referee Clayton Pisani sent off Denni Rocha Dos Santos for hitting a Floriana player.

Floriana were also down to ten men just eleven minutes later after Owen Bugeja received a second yellow card.

Ten minutes from time, Ivan Woods hit the woodwork to deny Floriana from getting on the scoreboard.

Valletta put the match out of reach on the 86^th  minute. Omonigho Temile served Ian Zammit who then had his powerful shot beat goalkeeper Loft Saidi.
