ASM 18th Special Event in aid of l-Istrina
ASM will be organising an event to raise funds in aid l-iStrina and the Malta Community Chest Fund.
Next Sunday 18 December, at 10.00am, the Autocross drivers will be competing to gain valuable points in the ASM-Poiatti National Autocross Championship. The Motocross Riders will perform on vintage motorcycles dating from the 80’s. These are attracting veteran riders back to the ASM circuits. The Trials nursery ikers will perform their skills too during the day long event.
High authorities are invited to attend this 18th consecutive annual event in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund.
The Special ‘Car Demolition’ derby organised during the Chrismas season is the highlight of the day’s event. 29 competitors are registered for this challenging feat which is scrupulously controlled by experienced officers. The cars are modified to safety standards within written rules. Both drivers and the cars will be inspected for safety and conformity with the rules of the game throughout the race. The winner and runner-up will be presented with trofies and champiagne while still on the racetrack. ASM is pleased that about 60 cars are removed from our roads annually by means of such a competition. The Demolition is scheduled to start at 3.30pm and last about 40 minutes.
