William Chetcuti will perform on Friday in the men's double trap at the London 2012 Olympics.

Chetcuti made his first international appearance at the San Marino Games of the Small States of Europe  in 2001 and he is labelled as Malta's best hope of a first Olympic medal.

His eighth place in China four years ago was the best position ever for a Maltese competitor at the Olympics. This will be his third Olympics.

Chetcuti started 2012 with his first World Cup shoot in Tucson, US, where he clinched new personal best score in qualifying of 147 on his way to a silver medal.
