Police foil attempted robbery at St Philip’s Hospital
25-year-old arrested by officers of the Rapid Intervention Unit.
Members of the Rapid Intervention Unit foiled an attempted robbery from St Philip’s Hospital, MaltaToday can confirm.
Sources told MaltaToday that members of the RIU apprehended a 25-year-old man from Zejtun. A second man, believed to be an accomplice, managed to get away but was soon caught by district police.
The same sources said the two were caught in action as they tried to get away with a computer tower and other related electronic equipment from the disused hospital.
