Italian construction worker falls off scaffolding

Italian construction worker, 28, was working at Mater Dei construction site

A 28-year-old Italian construction worker suffered injuries in a fall of 2.5 metres from a scaffolding on one of the construction sites at Mater Dei Hospital. The incident happened at around 9:09am.

The area is currently the site of works on Life Sciences bio-park.

The worker was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital but his condition is as yet unknown.

District police PS Kevin Grima and PC Silvio Bonello are investigating the incident.
