Polish paraglider injured in Dingli Cliffs crash
25-year-old hospitalised after suffering injuries in paragliding crash
A 25-year-old Polish paraglider has been hospitalised after in crashing in Wied Hazrun, Dingli.
The incident occurred at around 2:15pm when for an unknown reason, the man lost control of his paraglider before crashing into the cliffs.
Informed sources explained that after witnessing his friend’s crash, a Romanian man called the ambulance. Within minutes, district officials and emergency personnel arrived on the scene.
The Pole was then conveyed to Mater Dei Hospital where he is being treated for the injuries he suffered. Initial investigations suggest that the paraglider suffered injuries to his back and chest.
His condition is not yet known.
District officials led by Inspector Mary Edel Camilleri and Sergeant Christine Bonnici are investigating the incident.
