12-year old girl hit by car in Marsasxlokk

A 12-year-old girl is suffering from serious injuries after she was hit by a car in Marsaxlokk.

Police have said that an investigation is ongoing and that the 27-year-old driver was from Zabbar. He was driving a BMW 1180.

The accident took place at around 3pm on Monday on Triq Melqart in Marsaxlokk.

Upon arriving on site, an ambulance transported the 12-year-old girl to Mater Dei Hospital.
