University Centre for Family Studies commissions survey on remarriage
National Statistics Officer to conduct telephone survey for university centre for family studies.
Over the next two weeks the Centre will be carrying out a survey on reasons for and against remarriage.
The organisation and promotion of research on all aspects of Maltese family life is one of the main aims of the Centre for Family Studies at the University of Malta.
The survey will be carried out by the National Statistics Office through computer-assisted telephone interviewing (CATI), a telephone surveying technique in which the interviewer follows a script provided by a software application. Information disclosed to interviewers, specifically trained to carry out this task, will be treated in the strictest confidence, and will not be divulged to third parties under any form. Micro-data will also be encrypted and anonymised, and results will be grossed up to the population.
The Centre for Family Studies encourages the randomly selected individuals to participate in the scientific survey in an accurate and timely manner.
Survey results are expected towards the end of next month.
