Advice against travelling to southern Syria issued
Maltese nationals in Syria are advised to inform the Honorary Consuls at Damascus and Aleppo or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of their presence.
Following the demonstrations taking place in Syria, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued an advice against travelling to the southern region of Syria. The MFA particularly highlighted the cities of Der’aa and Latakia.
It also advised those present in the area to remain indoor.
The Ministry advised nationals to exercise extreme caution in the rest of the country and to avoid crowds and demonstrations.
