Labour candidate is new chairman of Foundation for Medical Services
Foundation for Medical Services chief executive Brian St John resigns post
Labour candidate Peter Cordina, the former head of the Civil Protection Department, has been appointed chairman of the Foundation for Medical Services.
Cordina ran for MEP in the 2014 European Parliament elections.
The new board comes in the wake of the resignation of Brian St John, the chief executive of the FMS since 2009.
The CEO was reportedly asked to report to engineer James Camenzuli, the new deputy chairman of the FMS, an agency that serves the national healthcare system through capital projects.
Camenzuli is also the chairman of the Malta Resources Authority.
The other members of the FMS are Patrick Cachia, engineer Paul Fenech, architect Dunch Mifsud, entrepreneur Henry Attard, academic Tanya Sammut-Bonnici and lawyer Ramona Frendo.
