Ryanair launches Malta-Glasgow route

Ryanair announces new route from Malta to Glasgow (Prestwick) for summer 2011.

Ryanair said today it forecasts to transport 800,000 passengers to and from Malta in 2011.

To celebrate its 21 low fares from Malta in 2011, Ryanair released 1m €6 seats for trave across 500 European routes in March. These €6 seats must be booked on ryanair.com before midnight (24:00hrs) Monday 14 February. Ryanair’s new low fares on Glasgow (Prestwick) route goes on sale on Friday 10 February.

Ryanair’s Luis Fernández-Mellado said: “Ryanair today celebrates one new summer route from Glasgow (Prestwick) to Malta. We expect Ryanair’s 21 routes to deliver low fares and increase arrival of Scottish passengers to Malta from next summer season where they will be able to enjoy the wonders of the Maltese Islands taking advantage the lowest fares in Scotland to travel to Malta.”
