AFM helicopter rescuses man in distress in Zurrieq

A 40-year-old man has been rescued by the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) after finding himself in difficulty in Zurrieq on Monday.

According to a statement by the AFM, on Monday afternoon they were informed that the 40-year-old British man had found himself in difficulty at Wied Iz-Zurrieq 

In response, the AW139 helicopter was dispatched to the area, and lifted the casualty to safety. He was then transferred to the AFM Air Wing Base and subsequently taken to Mater Dei Hospital by an ambulance.
