Electoral Commission issues notice on special voting documents

The Electoral Commission has issued a notice informing those voters who need to apply for special voting documents to vote in the national referendum.

The Electoral Commission informs those voters who:

- after receiving their voting document have lost or otherwise damaged or destroyed their document

- although their name appears in the Electoral Register published in October 2010, as revised by the decisions of the Revising Officer, have not yet received their voting document for special reasons, including that the Commission is not in possession of their photograph,

they may apply personally to one of the Electoral Commissioners at the Electoral Office for a Special Voting Document.

The Commission informs the voters that presentation of ID card is mandatory.  

Offices will be opened from Monday to Friday between 9am and 8pm, on Saturdays and Sundays between 8am and 1pm and on Wednesday May 25 (last day) from 9am till 9pm.

Voters who are registered in Gozo and Comino may call at the Identity Cards Office, Rabat, Gozo, during the same office hours. 

The Electoral Commission reminds that no one shall be allowed to vote without a voting document.
